DTF( Direct To Film ) is a process that transfers prints onto fabric or other substrates using a heat-press mechanism. Unlike the DTG method, which only works on cotton fabrics, the DTF printing method can work on cotton and poly blends.

In contrast, DTF ink is more affordable, and the price of transfer film and hot melt adhesive powder is relatively low. Not only that, DTF uses much less ink than DTG, especially white ink. Hot melt adhesive powder will stick the ink to the garment, so you don’t need as much white ink as an underbase.
